Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my toothache is urgent or if it can wait?
If the pain is severe, swelling is present, you cannot sleep, or it is getting worse, call the same day. Toothaches can signal deeper problems and should not be ignored.
Should I go to a dentist or the ER for a dental problem?
For most tooth pain, broken teeth, or dental infections, call a dentist first. Go to the ER if you have trouble breathing, major facial trauma, or uncontrolled bleeding.
Can I tell the office I have dental anxiety before my appointment?
Yes. Tell them when booking. It helps the team plan a slower, more comfortable visit and explain things clearly.
Will I get X-rays at my first visit?
Maybe, but not always. X-rays are usually based on your symptoms, dental history, and what the dentist sees during the exam.
Can one family dentist usually treat both kids and adults?
In many cases, yes. Family dental offices are commonly chosen because they can help with different ages and different needs in one place.
What is the fastest way to get help if I chip a tooth or break a filling?
Call the office directly and explain what happened, when it happened, and whether you have pain or swelling. Phone triage is usually the quickest way to get next-step guidance.
